Privacy Policy — LetzGo
This Privacy Policy explains how LetzGo Tech (“LetzGo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the LetzGo mobile application, website, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, LetzGo may process the following categories of information:
- Account and identity data: phone number, verification status, name, profile information, account role (for example rider or driver), and user identifiers.
- Location data: precise or approximate device location when needed for pickup, destination, trip matching, map, routing, safety, and location-based features.
- Trip and service data: pickup and destination information, trip requests, trip status, route-related information, timestamps, ratings, and service history.
- Driver and vehicle data: where driver features are used, vehicle information, driver profile information, and documents or images submitted for eligibility, verification, or support.
- Driver bank details: the IBAN provided during driver registration is stored with the driver profile and may be shown to the assigned rider in trip payment information to support bank transfers.
- Photos, files, and user-submitted content: profile images, verification documents, support attachments, chat or support messages, and other content you choose to provide.
- Device and technical data: device/app information, push notification tokens, diagnostics, crash information, security signals, network information, and similar technical logs.
- Usage and analytics data: interactions with the app and feature usage where analytics is enabled.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and manage user accounts;
- provide ride-sharing, trip, map, routing, pickup, destination, and matching functionality;
- support rider and driver workflows and display relevant trip information;
- send service messages, verification messages, safety notices, and push notifications;
- provide customer support and resolve technical or service issues;
- detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, and violations of our rules;
- maintain, debug, measure, and improve the reliability and performance of LetzGo;
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Location Information
LetzGo uses location information for location-dependent services such as choosing pickup and destination points, showing maps, estimating routes, matching trips, and safety-related functions. Device permissions determine whether LetzGo can access your location. You can control location permissions in your device settings, although disabling them may prevent certain features from working correctly.
4. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose or make data available to service providers that process information on our behalf or provide technical infrastructure required to operate LetzGo. These may include:
- Google Firebase services, including authentication, database/cloud functions, storage, messaging, app integrity/security, analytics, and crash diagnostics where enabled;
- map and routing infrastructure, including map tile, geolocation, and routing providers used to render maps or calculate routes;
- hosting, security, and infrastructure providers necessary to operate the service;
- authorities or professional advisers when disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or needed to investigate fraud or abuse.
Information may also be shared between riders and drivers where necessary to provide a trip, such as relevant pickup, destination, trip status, profile, vehicle, rating, or contact-related information required for the service.
5. Data Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including authentication controls, access controls, encrypted network transport where supported by the underlying services, and security/integrity mechanisms. No system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and fraud-prevention records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of data and the reason for processing it.
If specific information must be retained after an account deletion request for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution reasons, access will be limited and the data will be retained only for the required period.
7. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their LetzGo account and associated personal data through the in-app account deletion pathway and through the public account deletion page: Account Deletion.
After a valid deletion request, we will delete or irreversibly de-identify account-associated personal data unless retention is required for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You can also manage device permissions, including location and notifications, through your operating system settings.
9. Children
LetzGo is not intended to be used by children where such use is prohibited by applicable law or where the user does not meet the minimum age requirements applicable to the service. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
10. International Processing
Service providers may process data in countries other than the country in which you reside. Where required, we use appropriate legal and contractual safeguards for such processing.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The “Last updated” date above will be revised when material changes are made.
